Description

Nour stands a slim frame outside the cushion and Sama closes it with a timber plinth. Nasim keeps the solid carcass and cuts a woven rattan panel into every outward face, so the same box that carries the seat lets light and air through it. The timber stops below the cushion rather than above it, so the back you lean on is upholstery for its whole height. The same 800 millimetre square, the same seat height, and the same single corner that turns to make either hand.

The product is not a sofa. It is four pieces on one 800 millimetre square: a centre, a corner, a pouf and a low table, and every one of them stands on the same base. The seat is square, so a single corner turned through a quarter serves either hand, and any piece sits beside any other in a line, an L or a U with nothing needed to fill the join.

Made to order in the United Arab Emirates. Nothing is held in stock, so an arrangement is the pieces you chose rather than the pieces that happened to be on a shelf.

The range is drawn for year-round outdoor use in the Gulf: full sun, salt air, and a summer most furniture is not made for.

Care & maintenance

Teak silvers in sunlight if it is left alone, and comes back to its warm tone with an oil once a year. Both are correct; it depends which you prefer.

Made to order in the United Arab Emirates. Nothing is held in stock, which is why an arrangement can be exactly the pieces you want rather than the pieces that happen to be on a shelf.

FAQ

Do I have to choose a left or a right corner?
No. The seat is square, so one corner turned through a quarter closes a run either way. There is no handed part in the range to order by mistake.
Can I add to it later?
Yes. Every range is built on the same 800 millimetre square, and what changes between one range and the next is what holds the cushion up and what covers it, never the grid. A piece bought in a later season still lines up.
How many modules do I need?
For a terrace, roughly six is where the conversation becomes a consultation rather than an order. The plan gives you an itemised list as you build, so the answer is in front of you before you commit to it.
