The product is not a sofa. It is four pieces on one 800 millimetre square: a centre, a corner, a pouf and a low table, and every one of them stands on the same base. The seat is square, so a single corner turned through a quarter serves either hand, and any piece sits beside any other in a line, an L or a U with nothing needed to fill the join.

The frame sits outside the cushion rather than under it. That is the opposite of the usual convention and it is the reason two modules meet flush: there is no rail to clear and no gap to hide. A rail of oiled teak runs the width of the base, which is where you take hold of a piece when you move it.

Made to order in the United Arab Emirates. Nothing is held in stock, so an arrangement is the pieces you chose rather than the pieces that happened to be on a shelf.

Not settledWhether the frame is steel or aluminium is with the fabricators. The two differ in weight, which is a difference a person feels every time they move one, so neither the metal nor the weight is written here until a quotation settles it.

The range is drawn for year-round outdoor use in the Gulf: full sun, salt air, and a summer most furniture is not made for.

Not settledThe warranty term, the coating film thickness and the salt-spray hours are all fabricator commitments and none of them has been made yet. They are part of what the tender is for, and each will be published here with the name of whoever stands behind it.

Care & maintenance

Cleaning
Rinse with fresh water; mild soap on the weave.
Direct sun
Made for it. The weave is solution-dyed and the timber is oil-sealed; the timber will silver in Gulf sun unless it is re-oiled, and that is a finish decision rather than a fault.

Teak silvers in sunlight if it is left alone, and comes back to its warm tone with an oil once a year. Both are correct; it depends which you prefer.

FAQ

Do I have to choose a left or a right corner?
No. The seat is square, so one corner turned through a quarter closes a run either way. There is no handed part in the range to order by mistake.
Can I add to it later?
Yes. Every range is built on the same 800 millimetre square, and what changes between one range and the next is what holds the cushion up and what covers it, never the grid. A piece bought in a later season still lines up.
How many modules do I need?
For a terrace, roughly six is where the conversation becomes a consultation rather than an order. The plan gives you an itemised list as you build, so the answer is in front of you before you commit to it.
